The new functionality basically assisted the user in preparing the forms necessary for the small claims action; you still had to serve the Complaint and attend the hearing. However, as I haven’t used the app myself yet, I cannot comment on whether any of the tools cross the line. It is not clear how long the app will remain free.

The clinic primarily works with startups, entrepreneurs, and creators who cannot afford legal services. We try to work with people who can’t otherwise afford legal services. So I think it kind of crossed the line at this point. But without being in the crucible of a law firm right off the bat. Some death threats.
